When it comes to ageing, its not all just about lines and wrinkles; it’s the drop, the fatigue and the complexion too. Discolouration in the skin is a common condition and while it is usually harmless, for many people it’s an unattractive sight that they try to cover up. It comes in many forms for many reasons; sunspots, injury, melasma (a common condition experienced by women during pregnancy) and illness are just a few common causes. An obvious solution would be the wise old saying that ‘Prevention is better than cure’, so a daily sun screen can help prevent discolouration. Collin Resultime would recommend using a SPF 15 – 30 all year round regardless of how sunny it is outside, because even if the sun is not shinning, the rays are still there. It’s not just lying in the blazing sun on holiday or sun beds that can cause damage. However, in some cases, whether you have knowingly abused your skin or not, the problem is already visible. If you are one of those people lightening treatments and products are readily available. Collin Resultime is pleased to start 2010 with the launch of its new and excusive WhiteEvidence Youth and Lightening Line. A unique, never before seen treatment and homecare range that promises to improve dullness on all skins while providing strong anti-ageing and defence against free radical attack for life. The treatment alone can reduce unsightly pigmentation and brown spots by an incredible 68%, improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles by 85% and leave your skin firmer by 95% leaving you with strong, radiant, uniform skin. We also can provide you with the best in homecare to maintain these results with a complete homecare range to give you a luminous healthy glow all year round. For further information contact Collin Resultime for your nearest stockist.

It seems that the British winter is dragging itself out for as long as possible and it’s starting to take its toll on a lot of skins. The cold weather can have a drastic effect on the condition of your skin – freezing temperatures and cold winds can dry the skin leaving it vulnerable and more susceptible to damage. Then, when go inside to warm up your central heating can dehydrate your skin further. So, here are some winter survival tips to keep you fresh faced and see you through to summer!
1. Add an exfoliator to your skin care routine once or twice a week. Even I you smother your skin with a lovely rich cream, you still might notice dry and itchy patches, this could be because you aren’t exfoliating enough. Exfoliating removes the layer of dead skin cells that sits on the skin’s surface preventing your skin from getting the benefit of your products. Indulge in a skin brightening Collin Resultime exfoliator to leave the skin smooth and enjoy healthy radiant skin once more.
2. Beware of drying products. For many people there is nothing more comforting than a long soak in a warm bubble bath to soak away winter chills. However, those bubbles might be causing more harm than good. Bubble baths, soaps and shower gels typically contain drying soap and alcohol, which can strip your skin of moisture. Instead try some bath milks or oils and hydrate your whole body afterwards with a creamy body lotion from the Collin Resultime Body range.
3. Accept change. As the weather changes, so does our skin. So now might be the right time to reassess your skin. If you have noticed some significant changes to your skin lately, maybe the onset of dry patches, dehydration or itchiness, your skin might be craving some new ingredients. Make an appointment for a Skin Analysis with your Collin Resultime therapist right now and she will advise you on exactly what your skin needs.
4. Skincare in your sleep. A good nighttime boost for your skin will leave you waking up to a radiant, healthy face. Weather you choose and specific night cream or one of Collin Resultime’s exclusive ‘Sleep Masks’ you will be giving your skin the perfect chance to restore moisture, rejuvenate the skin cells and erase lines and wrinkles. You sleep, they work!

I was recently asked by one of our stockists if the new Whitevidence Youth and Lightening treatment was suitable for use during pregnancy.
My initial thought and quick response was "yes of course", my thought pattern was this, often during pregnancy the skin changes dramatically due to hormonal inbalaneces / changes. The changes will be unique to each individual, some experience varying degrees of skin dryness, others find their skin becomes dull and lack lustre (this could happen during or after the pregnancy), some see skin congestion and others may experience brown pigmentation in varying degrees or even the "mask of pregnancy".
The new treatment will help all of the above, it then dawned on me that the person in question is an experienced industry therapist and has used Collin in her business for well over 5 years, so their must be reason for this particluar question.
It turned out that another supplier of the salon suggested not to use lactic acid during pregnancy.
I in turn posed the same question to Dr Isabelle Volle, skin biologist at Collin Resultime.
Dr Volle sees no reason why lactic acid should not be used topically on the face and neck during pregnancy as its main effect is to remove superficial layers of the epidermis and with it take away melanin filled cells and dull, dead cells.
Therefor in the opinion of Collin Resultime the Whitevidence Youth and Lightening Treatment is safe to use and will deliver exceptional results to the skin, during pregnancy and after the birth of your baby.
